Return to Full Day School Days at the Fort!

Dear Fort Washington Pates,

We are excited for the opportunity to return to as normal of a school day as possible for our students in
Grades 1-6!  With the recent change in guidelines from the 6 feet of distancing to 3 feet inside the classroom,
we will be able to merge our hybrid in-person students attending AM & PM sessions together starting Monday,
April 12th with no change to our current bell schedule.  ALL AM & PM in-person students will now
attend school from 8am-3pm.  Wednesdays will remain as a Zoom-only day.  Screening and temperature
checks will remain the same starting at 8am through 8:30am at the designated locations for drop-off/pick-up as
assigned by last name.   Classroom instruction begins at 8:30am.   Online learning via Zoom will still be
available for our CUSD Connect students, students who are quarantined, and Wednesday instruction.  CUSD
Connect students may have the option to return to in-person starting April 19th.  Notice of this intention must be
communicated by Friday, April 16th.

All in-person students will be expected to attend school in-person for the full duration of the school day unless it
is a Wednesday, or if the student requires to be on quarantine.  If there is a hardship due to previously arranged
schedules, such as childcare, please give our office a call at (559) 327-6600.

In order to preserve our current bell schedule while maintaining the 6 feet of distancing between students during
lunch time, there will be a rotation of grade levels through lunch on the amphitheater, lunch recess on the
blacktop and North field near the play structure, and PE activities on the West field of the Fort Washington
campus.  Students will have access to the restrooms to wash their hands prior to eating lunch.   Clovis Unified
will continue to offer FREE hot lunch (and breakfast for the following day) for all students through the end of this
school year.  The lunch menu is accessible through the Clovis Unified website.   Breakfast items may be picked
up by the student at the end of the school day in the MPR prior to leaving campus.   The drinking fountains
continue to be non-accessible.  Please send your child with their own water bottle.  Listed below is the rotation
schedule for lunch, lunch recess, and PE.
