Principal's Message
Dear Fort Family,
Welcome to the start of a brand-new school year! The first week of school is always one of my favorite times—it’s a week filled with fresh beginnings, joyful energy, and the excitement of possibilities ahead. Walking through our classrooms and hallways, I’ve already seen students settling in, reconnecting with friends, meeting new ones, and diving into learning with curiosity and enthusiasm.
At the Fort, we are proud of our long history and strong traditions, and we are equally excited about the bright future we are building together. This year, we are especially proud to celebrate 150 years of history, tradition, and excellence. Our dedicated staff is committed to supporting every child in mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that each student feels safe, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential. We are excited to have several new staff members this school year, please join me in welcoming: Mrs. Darling (Kindergarten Teacher), Miss Jager (1st Grade Teacher), Miss O’Malley (3rd Grade Teacher), Mr. Horn (5th Grade Teacher), Miss Rodriguez (RSP Teacher), Mr. Poulan (Band Teacher), Mr. Kellogg (School Nurse), and Mr. Isaaks (GIS).
This week has been a wonderful reminder that school is truly a partnership between home and school. Thank you, families, for entrusting us with your children and for the many ways you support their success. Together, we will continue to make Fort a place where students not only learn but thrive.
Here’s to a year of growth, discovery, and joyful learning. I look forward to all that we will accomplish together!
With gratitude and excitement,
Mrs. Hashimoto
