As we are preparing to close our 2018-19 school year, we have several fun-filled events for our Pates. Our 3rd grade students celebrated our Patriotic pride at our annual Patriotic Program this past week. Special thanks to Mrs. Salomonson for directing our Pates through another successful program honoring our veterans and the rich history of our country.
Our next annual event is Olympic Day! We will be celebrating 30 years of Olympic Day here at the Fort on Friday, May 31st at 9am. We would greatly appreciate any parent volunteer to assist with keeping our students hydrated at our water station. Please contact Mrs. Gonzales in the office if you are available to help.
Another special event is our yearbook dedication. Traditionally, the dedication is revealed at our Yearbook Dedication Assembly. However, this year the 2018-19 Fort Washington Yearbook will honor Mr. Gladding. It is anticipated that this tribute will stir some emotions with our Pates, therefore the dedication assembly will be held at 1:15pm on Wednesday, June 5th in the MPR. Due to special timing of this assembly, we will have a special lunch schedule for this date. 1st – 2nd grade lunchtime will be from 11:00am – 11:50am, 3rd – 4th grade lunchtime will be from 11:30am – 12:20pm, and 5th – 6th grade lunchtime will be from 12:00pm – 12:50pm.
In years past, our district had opened the window for the Annual Information Update (formerly known as Re-Enrollment) on Parent Connect. The online process will be used again starting July 15th through August 7th. Pins and passwords will not be sent home. Parents can access their information on the Parent Connect Website. It is very important your parent email is correct in Parent Connect. If you any assistance with your pin and/or password, please feel free to contact us at 327-6600. Upon completion of the Annual Information Update for the 2019-20 school year, you will be given your child’s class placement by stopping by the office the week of August 12, 2019. Due to confidentiality, we will no longer post class placements on the exterior windows of the office. No classroom changes will be made as Fort Washington continues to be an impacted school site. Thank you for your understanding.
