Dear Pates and Fort Families,
Fort Washington has always valued
the service our Veterans in the armed forces.
As part of our appreciation, we invited our community service men and
women to join our Friday Morning Announcements to be acknowledged for their
commitment and service to our country to provide us the freedom that we have
today. It is always humbling to see our
Pates come together to show gratitude to those who bravely serve our country to
allow us to our freedoms. With respect,
honor, and gratitude, THANK YOU VETERANS!
Our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon
for the students is on Thursday, November 21, 2019 where our Fort Washington
staff will be serving our Pates a turkey and gravy lunch for those who participate
in having hot lunch. We also have our 32nd
annual Turkey Trot run coming up on Friday, November 22, 2019! Permission slips for participation have been
sent home last week. This is a fun event
for students in Kindergarten through sixth grade. We are seeking parent volunteers for each
intersection of our Turkey Trot course through our neighborhood, and parent
volunteers for the water stations and apple station. If you are able to help volunteer for this
event, please contact Mrs. Nijskens (formerly, Ms. Castello) or Mrs. Guffey.
Looking forward to a fun-filled
November! Pates are GREAT!
